Yesterday, I went to semarang from jogja with my family. we went to semarang cause my father want to saw the great mosque of middle java – Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah. From jogja to semarang need about 4 hours using a car.
The specially from this mosque is that its mosque has six umbrella that covering the precinct of the mosque. People around says that the umbrellas will open on friday, when the moslem engage sholat jum’at.
Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah is the biggest mosque on semarang. This mosque start to built on 2001 in area more about 10 hektre, located on Gajah Raya Street, Sambirejo, Gayamsari, semarang.
This mosque also have a tower called Asmaul Husna Tower with 99 metres height. From this tower we can see the semarang city, or the harbour an many boat that cross the sea of java.
